A wonderful 3-night activity to enjoy the falls and the nature in Iguazu

After being picked up from the hotel, we will embark on the legendary and rarely traveled National Route 101 that crosses the Iguazu National Park. We will head towards the Urugua-í Provincial Park, and literally, the journey will be the destination! This dirt road is the perfect place to capture the typical red earth roads in stark contrast with the incandescent green of the surrounding jungle. It will be easy to observe birds and find traces of wild animals.

Throughout the journey to the Urugua-í Provincial Park, we will make strategic stops in search of photographic opportunities. It is important to know that the probability of observing and photographing mammals in this environment is really low, so although we are always attentive and expectant, such a situation should be considered a marvel gifted to us.

Upon arriving at the park, we will take a short walk through the jungle. If we are lucky, we may see yacutingas, a species of bird endemic to this ecoregion and in danger of extinction. Photographically, we will emphasize textures and backlighting, opening ourselves to the possibility of macro photography of plants and arthropods, always considering the particular interests and photographic equipment of each participant.

A new asphalt route will lead us to La Lorenza, where we will share a delicious lunch overlooking the Paraná River. This excursion covers a total of 140 km traveled in a 4×4 vehicle.

Enjoy a wonderful 3-night tour including the visit to both sides of the amazing Iguazu Falls, and a unique full day tour in La Lorenza, to enjoy nature and photography. First two days, we will include the visit to Parque Nacional Iguazu, on the argentinian side, and then the Parque Nacional do Iguaçu, to enjoy the brazilian side of the falls. During these visits, you can add some great activities like boat navigations, helicopter rides, etc.

Then, you will enjoy a special activity in La Lorenza, led by Emilio White, a nature photographer, with whom we will explore the northern region of Misiones in search of jungle photographs.

Are you ready to enjoy the falls and the nature with our company?

Itinerary

DAY 1 - IGUAZU FALLS

Arrival to Iguazu and visit to Iguazu Falls Brazilian Side!

After arriving in Iguazu (you can arrive at Puerto Iguazu, IGR, or on the Brazilian side at Foz do Iguaçu, IGU), we will transfer you to your hotel. Choose from one of the excellent accommodation options we have available for you. After check-in, our guide will be ready to start the first activity in the area. Did you know that the Iguazu Falls were recently declared one of the 7 new wonders of the natural world? Well, let me tell you then, that today you will visit the Brazilian side of this incredible wonder of Planet Earth.

The tour takes half a day and is basically a bus tour through the jungle, with a 1500-meter walkway that offers an unparalleled panoramic view of the different waterfalls and the Devil’s Throat. The tour ends with a panoramic elevator and an excellent view from the terrace.

During this activity, you can add interesting options such as a helicopter flight or a river navigation, or extend the visit a bit more and visit the Bird Park. You can see these optional activities below.

After this activity, transfer to the hotel to rest, although you can also add some nighttime activity if you wish.

DAY 2 - IGUAZU FALLS

Visiting the argentinian side of the Iguazu Falls

Perhaps the most important part of the Iguazu Falls is the Argentine side. And this is based on the large expanse that the park offers, with its nearly 8 km of trails in three main circuits, which are the Devil’s Throat, accessible by the Ecological Jungle Train, the Lower Circuit, and the Upper Circuit. The tour begins with pick-up by our guide from your hotel. Transfer to the park with included admission to start the trail tour. The tour lasts all day, ending around 5:00 p.m. Of course, you can add an activity, such as the Great Adventure, a combination of a jungle truck tour and a boat ride to finish under the waterfalls, to add adrenaline to your visit. Return to the hotel and then free time in the evening, where you can add an activity like a Tango Show or enjoy a gastronomic experience with The Argentine Experience.

DAY 3 - IGUAZU FALLS

Visiting La Lorenza. Photography activity!

After breakfast, we will pick you up from your hotel, to enjoy an unforgettable experience in La Lorenza. Once there, and guided by a professional nature photographer, we will take you to two special locations that allow a combination of landscape and jungle photography. Early in the morning, we will head to the less-traveled National Route 101, located about 30 minutes from the city of Iguazú. This dirt road cuts through the national park and is the perfect place to capture the typical red earth roads contrasting with the lush green of the surrounding jungle. Being situated in the heart of this vast protected area, it will be easy to observe birds and find traces of wild animals, including the elusive jaguar. It’s important to note that the chances of seeing and photographing mammals in this environment are genuinely low, making it a considered a special gift or additional bonus.

Continuing our journey, we will head towards La Lorenza, a private reserve located about 40 minutes away. The goal here is to have a more intimate experience with the jungle. We will explore trails in search of photographic opportunities, emphasizing textures and backlighting, and opening up the possibility of macro photography of plants and arthropods. We will make brief stops in “hides,” increasing the chances of capturing some birds. An elevated deck will be the place where lunch awaits us and will allow us to capture the exquisite combination of the jungle and the Paraná River.

The itinerary can be adapted based on your interests, internal timing, and the photographic equipment you are traveling with.

Return to the hotel and rest. A night activity can be added to your program

Fantastic guide and jaw dropping views of Iguazu Falls

"We had a great tour guide - Lorena Cardenal. She was very calm, extremely knowledgeable about every little detail on Iguazú falls, flora and fauna. She and driver picked us up and dropped us at our hotel and border crossing was so easy with them. She let us spent as much time as we wanted and was cognizant of us taking rest whenever we needed. We saw both sides of Iguazu falls with her. Iguazu falls is so fantastic, no word can describe how beautiful it is and both sides have its own unique features, so see both sides as well as boat ride under water falls on Argentina side was awesome! She even made Matte for us to try, which she made and brought it for us next day. She was so gentle and caring about the park being kept clean. I highly recommend her as your private tour guide.

Iguazu Falls in a day from a cruise ship

"Everything went very smoothly. No complaints at all! My guide Jorge was wonderful. I learned so much from him. Be prepared to walk a lot. Be sure to include the boat ride on the Argentina side. It is well worth it, but be prepared to get drenched! If you go to the Brazilian side, don’t think twice about taking the helicopter for -about $125 USD. It will give you a spectacular view even though it is a short ride. ( I didn’t have time to get to the Brazilian side to do it). I understand the hotels are wonderful, so if you go, do two days if you can. Passing all the information on to a travel agent I know to have anyone interested in going to Iguazu Falls to use this company! I flew at 6 am from Buena Aires to Iguazu Falls and flew back at 8:15! It is easily possible to do this Argentina side in a day.
