This private full day experience invites you to explore one of the most pristine corners of the Iguazú region. La Lorenza combines river navigation, jungle trails and cultural traditions in an intimate natural setting overlooking the Paraná River. You will travel by motor boat to the hidden Salto Yasy waterfall, enjoy the calm flow of the river, walk through native forest rich in wildlife and learn about the yerba mate plant that grows naturally in this ecosystem.
The experience also includes an immersive cultural moment around a fire pit in which you prepare mate using the traditional Guaraní method while discovering its history, symbolism and role in everyday Argentine life. The day concludes on a panoramic deck with lunch in the morning shift or early dinner in the afternoon shift, hosted by the owners of La Lorenza.

Itinerary
Your visit begins with a warm welcome and an introduction to the local ecoregion and its conservation efforts. After a short walk of about fifteen minutes through the jungle, you board a motor boat to navigate the Paraná River toward Salto Yasy, a secluded and beautiful waterfall hidden in the forest.
In this peaceful natural setting, you can take a refreshing dip and enjoy the relaxing massage created by the waterfall’s flow. Swimming in the river is safe, since there are no aggressive animals living in these waters. On the return navigation, the boat engine is turned off to let the river carry you, allowing you to fully absorb the soundscape of the surrounding jungle.
Back on land, a guided walk leads you through a trail rich in flora and birdlife. Along the way, you learn about the yerba mate plant that grows naturally in the jungle of La Lorenza.
Later, gathered around a circular fire pit, you are introduced to the cultural world of mate, the national drink of Argentina. Following the traditional Guaraní process, you prepare this infusion from the plant to the cup while hearing stories about its sacred meaning, the influence of the Jesuits, health benefits and the social rules that shape this daily ritual.
The day concludes on a deck with panoramic views of the Paraná River, where you enjoy a delicious lunch in the morning shift or an early dinner in the afternoon shift, along with a friendly conversation with the hosts.

Yes, the tour is not available for children under 4 years old.

No, La Lorenza is not accessible for people with reduced mobility and includes a steep 150 meter slope.
What is the cancellation policy?

Do I need to bring anything specific?
We recommend closed shoes, a bathing suit, a change of clothes, insect repellent and a reusable water bottle.

Iguazu - Thanks for the best experience of our trip
" We have returned from what turned out to be a wonderful vacation in and around South America. Perhaps the top highlight was the side trip to Iguazu Falls with expert help from Francisco at RipioTurismo. I cannot express adequately how pleased we were with the entire experience working with him. His prompt responses to our many questions (which is a very big thing), explanation of the details and coordination of logistics – from the door of our hotel in BA all the way back to that same door – was top notch and extremely professional.
Really special about the entire trip to Iguazu was our guide Eder Dorneles. As you know, even if all the logistics work, the performance of the guide can either enhance or spoil the entire project. Eder was loaded with interesting information about the Falls as well as both Argentina and Brazil. He was very personable, his English was exceptional (particularly for us older, hard of hearing folks!) and he seamlessly guided us through the logistics of getting into and out of Brazil as well as providing tips as we traversed both national parks. We could not have had a better guide.
We can honestly say that from our standpoint, it was a flawless confirmation of our decision to select RipioTurismo to make this adventure come true.
