How many days do you need in Iguazu Falls?
The main attractions of Iguazu are the Falls, which are in two different countries. You have a full day visit to Iguazu Falls on the Argentinian National Park, and a half day visit to Iguazu Falls on the Brazilian Side. If you are interested in visiting both sides, we recommend staying at least 1 night, and arriving early in the morning the first day and leaving after 7 PM on the following day, so you can have enough time to visit both sides. Then, depending on your time available, we recommend you stay more days in Iguazu as there are some other great activities in the area. Here are some suggested itineraries so you can organize your visit to the Falls.
Is Iguazu Falls worth the trip?
Iguazu Falls is a World Heritage Site by UNESCO, declared in 1984. It is totally worth it to visit if you are visiting South America. Why? Due to its incredible beauty, you will be amazed once you are staying right in front of the falls. Surrounded by nature, the Iguazu National Park is home to many species of animals and flora that create an important natural ecosystem connected to all Latin America.
The positive thing about this destination is that it has easy access to it. You can visit the Falls from Brazil or Argentina in even one day!
Which country is best for Iguazu Falls?
Our recommendation is, if you have enough time, to stay at least one night so you can visit both sides of the Falls and have the opportunity to experience boths.
But if you only have time for a single park, we suggest visiting the park that is closest to your arrival airport. For example, if you arrive through Puerto Iguazu (IGR) and depart through this airport too, it is better to visit the Argentine side, since this way you save the time it takes to cross the border. If you are arriving at Foz do Iguacu (IGU), it would be better to visit the Brazilian Side of the Falls.
