A great option to combine the visit to the incredible Iguazu Falls, one of the new 7-wonders of nature and the atlantic rainforest near the area. Visit both national parks and explore the biodiverse ecoregion after the traditional visit to the Iguazú Falls. Four nights including to nights of accommodation in excellent hotels while oyu enjoy the falls, to finalice with two final nights comfortably accommodated in the heart of the Misiones Jungle. Guided tours by ecologists and native Guaraní people are included, either navigating the waters of the Jungle or exploring one of the 12 interpretation trails of the exclusive Yacutinga Private Reserve. An itinerary that introduces us to the deep green of the Upper Iguazú River Jungle and its wildlife.

DAY 1 - IGUAZU FALLS

Arrival and visit to Iguazu Falls Brazilian Side

Arriving in Iguazu (Puerto Iguazu or Foz do Iguaçu, depending on your flight), you are greeted with the gateway to witness one of the most incredible shows of nature in South America and the world! Yes, Iguazu Falls was recently declared one of the new 7 wonders of nature and is a UNESCO World Heritage site. It’s definitely a must-see when you visit Argentina or Brazil.
Upon arrival, we will transfer you to the hotel for check-in and rest.

We will start our visit to the brazilian side of the falls. The park is called Parque Nacional do Iguaçu and the visit is basically a bus ride to enjoy the jungle, and finally a wonderful panoramic view of the falls, along the 1500 mts trail and the elevator. The landscape is unique, so be ready with your camera to take hundred of unforgettable photos!
It`s a half day tour that can be combined with any of the optional activities like the Parque Das Aves (Bird`s Park), or the visit to Itaipu Dam. And you also can add some adventure activities during your visit. Check optionals below.

DAY 2 - IGUAZU FALLS

Visiting the argentinian side

After breakfast, we will embark on one of the best excursions you can experience in Argentina. Iguazu Falls is a truly unique place in the world, filled with the magic of nature. Your guide will transfer you to Parque Nacional Iguazu, located on the Argentine side. The park is truly stunning, offering up to 8 kilometers of trails to explore the falls, divided into three different circuits: the Upper Circuit, the Lower Circuit, and the Trail to the incredible Devil’s Throat, accessible via the Ecological Train of the Jungle. Devil’s Throat is a series of 80-meter-high waterfalls cascading into a narrow gorge, which channels the largest volume of water in the Iguazú Falls, making these waterfalls the largest by volume in the world. The spectacle is truly unique and awe-inspiring!

DAY 3 - FROM IGUAZU TO YACUTINGE

Visiting the rainforest

After breakfast, transfer to the meeting point for your transfer to Yacutinga Rainforest Lodge. During the journey, we will notice the subsistence agricultural and livestock system that predominates in the Northeast of Misiones Province.

The landscape is extremely picturesque, characterized by deep greenery, reddish and clayey roads, Settlers, and their Yerba Mate farms. By mid-afternoon, we arrive at the South entrance of the Yacutinga Private Reserve, nestled in the heart of the Paranaense Jungle.

Arrival at the Lodge, reception, room assignment. Presentation of the activities that will take place during the stay and introductory explanation about the environmental issues of the Misiones Jungle and the actions we are taking to achieve its conservation.

Dinner. Accommodation.

DAY 4 - YACUTINGA LODGE

Visting the reserve

Early in the morning, an interpretive walk will be conducted into the Yacutinga Private Reserve, accompanied by specialized guides who provide excellent information about the various natural environments, its Flora, and its Fauna.

Mid-morning return to the Lodge.

Lunch. Free time to enjoy the Lodge’s amenities (pool, observation towers, campfire, bar, etc.).

In the afternoon, kayaking through the calm waters of the Yacutinga Reserve. This is an ideal time for a photo safari and wildlife observation in general. This kayaking experience lasts for almost 3 hours, silently traversing the Gallery Forest area.

Dinner.

For the more adventurous, our guides organize a night walk through the Jungle. Assisted by powerful lights and observation equipment to discover nocturnal Wildlife, especially Owls, Nightjars, and Caprimulgids that are active during the night.

DAY 5 - GOOD BYE RAINFOREST

Last day

After breakfast, you will have some free time to explore the surroundings of the Lodge, or simply relax in the Lodge area.

Rescue of native orchids is also an option. Then, at Mid-morning return to the meeting point for your transfer to Puerto Iguazu or airport

"We had a great tour guide - Lorena Cardenal. She was very calm, extremely knowledgeable about every little detail on Iguazú falls, flora and fauna. She and driver picked us up and dropped us at our hotel and border crossing was so easy with them. She let us spent as much time as we wanted and was cognizant of us taking rest whenever we needed. We saw both sides of Iguazu falls with her. Iguazu falls is so fantastic, no word can describe how beautiful it is and both sides have its own unique features, so see both sides as well as boat ride under water falls on Argentina side was awesome! She even made Matte for us to try, which she made and brought it for us next day. She was so gentle and caring about the park being kept clean. I highly recommend her as your private tour guide.

Iguazu Falls in a day from a cruise ship

"Everything went very smoothly. No complaints at all! My guide Jorge was wonderful. I learned so much from him. Be prepared to walk a lot. Be sure to include the boat ride on the Argentina side. It is well worth it, but be prepared to get drenched! If you go to the Brazilian side, don’t think twice about taking the helicopter for -about $125 USD. It will give you a spectacular view even though it is a short ride. ( I didn’t have time to get to the Brazilian side to do it). I understand the hotels are wonderful, so if you go, do two days if you can. Passing all the information on to a travel agent I know to have anyone interested in going to Iguazu Falls to use this company! I flew at 6 am from Buena Aires to Iguazu Falls and flew back at 8:15! It is easily possible to do this Argentina side in a day.
