Enjoy Puerto Iguazu and a wonderful city tour visiting the small city which is the gate to the amazing Iguazu Falls.
In the middle of an inviting and stimulating landscape of the Parana and Iguazu rivers junction, there’s a milestone with the shape of an obelisk. Exhibiting the colors of the Argentinian Flag (light blue and white), it represents the limit of our national territory.
From this place it is possible to see Brazilian and Paraguayan soil, where two other obelisks, each with the colors of its national flag, can be seen. From here you can also see the Tancredo Neves International Bridge, connecting Argentina (Puerto Iguazu city) to Brazil (Foz do Iguacu).
There are just a few places in the world where you can find three countries merging together. It is the ideal place to shop in its small handicraft shops and enjoy the dancing water and light show every day at sunset.
We will visit Guira Oga, a wildlife refuge (“the house of the birds” in the Guarani language) that was born based on the need to have an establishment that would be located in the same Misiones jungle and work with the native fauna of the place.
It was founded on August 23, 1997 by Jorge Anfuso and Silvia Elsegood, naturalists and specialists in the rehabilitation of birds of prey, current directors of the refuge.
