Moconá Virgin Lodge is a jungle lodge nestled in the heart of the Yabotí Biosphere Reserve, in the province of Misiones, just steps away from the stunning Moconá Falls. The lodge offers 14 rooms with private decks that are immersed in the Misiones jungle, connected by wooden walkways and close to the Yabotí Stream, one of the purest in Argentina.
Service includes a diverse program of experiences to be enjoyed in direct contact with nature: zip-lining, rappelling, kayaking, birdwatching, archery, hiking, and campfires with tales of Guarani myths and legends. Moconá Virgin Lodge is an experience for all the senses, and gastronomy is another way to convey the essence of the place, through dishes inspired by the region, prepared by our chef with the freshest ingredients.

The Moconá Falls, also known as the Yucumã Falls, are a unique natural wonder located in the province of Misiones, Argentina. What makes them exceptional is their sideways waterfall phenomenon, unlike traditional waterfalls where the water descends vertically.
Instead of the water flowing downwards, the falls run parallel to the river, creating a mesmerizing spectacle that stretches for about 3 kilometers along the Uruguay River. This distinctive feature makes the Moconá Falls one of the few of their kind in the world.
Surrounded by lush vegetation and rich biodiversity, the falls offer visitors a chance to witness nature’s extraordinary beauty. Tourists can explore the area through various activities such as hiking, boat rides, and birdwatching, allowing for an immersive experience in this captivating natural landscape.

After breakfast, you have a free day to enjoy the activities offered by the lodge, as kayaking, canopy, trekking, explore the jungle, or relax in the swimming pool. Check some available activities:
Zip Line: We venture into the jungle in a unique way. You can experience the surroundings with an unparalleled aerial view among the treetops at 50 meters high on our 600-meter zip line, crossing the bed of the Black Sheep Creek and the Horacio Falls.
The activity is divided into two sections of 300 meters each. The duration is approximately one hour, and the difficulty level is low.

Kayaking: This kayaking activity invites you to enjoy a unique contact with the Yabotí Stream, one of the most impressive watercourses in the Yabotí Reserve. Its calm and shallow waters enhance the sensation of being immersed in an infinite green, reflecting the jungle covering its banks.
The tour starts at our pier, where you will paddle almost 2,000 meters and lasts approximately 2 hours with low difficulty.

Rappelling: The most daring can test their adrenaline by descending vertical surfaces. This activity begins with a hike to the first launching platform, where you can contemplate a 18-meter waterfall amidst a majestic landscape. The duration is approximately 1 hour, and the difficulty level is medium.

Astrotourism: In this activity, you can experience the sensations that our ancestors experienced in the Guarani jungle when faced with sky spectacles. Meteor showers, eclipses, planetary alignments, or simply the magnificence of the night sky; every day, every night, and at all times. Duration: 1 hour.

Trekking: In the Black Sheep trail, we guide guests through a path where they can interpret the different species of flora and fauna characteristic of the area. It has a total duration of 2 hours, where you can appreciate the course of the “Black Sheep” Creek and the imposing Horacio Falls, which reaches 18 meters in height and can be glimpsed from different viewpoints.

Campfire: When night falls, the silence, calm, and nocturnal charm of the jungle are present. We invite you to share a campfire under the moonlight, where two typical meals of Misiones culture are prepared: reviro and ticue-í. Through stories, legends, and regional myths, our guides will transport you to the magical world of the jungle, introducing listeners to the ancestral past of our land and its people.
The Mensú Campfire is an activity suitable for all ages and an excellent opportunity to enjoy a moment of calm and connection with nature as the sun sets.

"Travel to Iguazu from Buenos Aires was easy and direct. We made transfer arrangements from the airport to our hotel in advance. Our two night stay at Gran Melia could not have been more enjoyable. The staff is friendly and attentive, and the location is superb. We enjoyed amazing views of the falls from our room, and everywhere else throughout the hotel and its grounds. A short, simple walk brought us up close to even more amazing and breathtaking views. One of the most memorable resort experiences we’ve had.
"The day trip from Buenos Aires to Iguazu Falls was fantastic! The transfers to and from the hotel to AEP airport were great. They were reliable and on time even though we caught an earlier flight back to Buenos Aires which changed the pickup time. Your agent, Walter Guiterriz coordinated the original booking with me, and he was very professional and responsive. He also helped with the last-minute change to the return pick up time due to the earlier flight. Our local guide at the Falls was very knowledgeable and guided us such that we avoided large crowds. "We wanted the 2 day tour but was only able to reach the Fall at 1:00pm. Lucia suggested doing the Brazilian side on the first day as there is only one circuit here leaving a full day to explore the various circuits on the Argentinian side plus the boat ride. Everything worked out well. The transfers from hotel/airport was smooth and the driver was waiting for us every time. Our guide Cesar for the 2 days was great. He was friendly, punctual and knows the ins and out so we spent minimal time crossing the border. The schedule and pace he set for us was just right as we were seniors. We were not disappointed with this 2 day tour and saw and experienced what we came to see. We also attended the Tango and dinner show at the Iguazu Grand and was seated right in front of the stage.
