Full-day estancia experience with horseback riding and lunch included
Spend a full day at Estancia Las Mercedes, located a few kilometers from Puerto Iguazú, where you can relax and immerse yourself in nature. Enjoy scenic walks, horseback rides through the countryside and jungle, and kayaking in tranquil streams.
Previously a yerba mate establishment, the estancia now offers a rustic colonial setting with modern comforts. The main house provides accommodation and features amenities such as a swimming pool, air conditioning, kitchen, heating, and a cozy living room.

Itinerary
We will depart early in the morning, around 7:00 AM, for a full-day visit to Estancia Las Mercedes in Eldorado, Misiones Province. The scenic drive along National Route 12 will take approximately 1 hour and 30 minutes, with our arrival around 9:00 AM. Upon arrival, we will be welcomed with refreshing drinks and a tasting of local flavors while learning about the history of the estancia.
Around 10:00 AM, we will receive a brief introduction to our horseback riding experience, with horses assigned based on each rider’s experience level. The ride will lead us through cattle pastures and provide breathtaking views of the Misiones mountains. We’ll also pass through a pine forest, where we can learn about the region’s forestry industry and its significance.
After our ride, we will return to the main house around 1:00 PM for a delicious countryside lunch. Following lunch, around 3:00 PM, we will embark on another horseback riding adventure along picturesque trails or relax by the pool, enjoying the tranquil surroundings. We will conclude our day with a return journey to Puerto Iguazú, arriving at your hotel between 6:30 and 7:00 PM.

"I had such a good time at Iguazu. It is stunningly beautiful and the power of the water is awesome. Junior, who was our guide on the Argentina side, was excellent, and very helpful. He kept in touch with the boat trip team as there was some question if it would happen (water levels), took me to get the tickets and show me where to board, and really looked after me. Marcelo, who took us to Brazil, was also very knowledgeable and a pleasure to be with. I must also add a note about the drivers. They were fabulous and obviously work very closely with the guides, and do everything they can to make sure you get to where you need to be. So thank you for providing me with an excellent tour of such a wonderful natural phenomenon. I have already recommended you to several people and will continue to do so.

"The tour in its entirety was well organized, from pick up to drop off at our hotel. Taking the Iguazu Falls Tour on the Brazilian side was a spectacular experience…from the balcony to the Devil’s Throat, the 1.5 trail offered us a panoramic view of the falls, allowed us to view the falls at different angles, hence great for photos. It entailed a lot of walking and climbing, yet it was worth the experience. For my family, the Iguazu Falls is indeed a natural wonder…another destination that’s been ticked off our bucket list. "Travel to Iguazu from Buenos Aires was easy and direct. We made transfer arrangements from the airport to our hotel in advance. Our two night stay at Gran Melia could not have been more enjoyable. The staff is friendly and attentive, and the location is superb. We enjoyed amazing views of the falls from our room, and everywhere else throughout the hotel and its grounds. A short, simple walk brought us up close to even more amazing and breathtaking views. One of the most memorable resort experiences we’ve had.
