Full Day Tour in Estancia Las Mercedes with Horseback Riding & Lunch

Pick up from your hotel early in the morning, around 7 am, to enjoy a full day visit to an Estancia in Eldorado, Misiones Province.

We will drive along National Route 12, and the journey will take approximately 1 hour 30 minutes until we arrive at t Eldorado where the estancia is located. Arrival is around 9 am.
We will be welcomed by the team with cold and hot drinks and a tasting of some great local flavors. During the gathering, we will have a historical overview of Las Mercedes, and then we will proceed to explore the surroundings.

Around 10 am, we will receive a brief talk about our horseback riding, and horses will be selected according to each visitor’s level of horsemanship. During the ride, we will visit the cattle pasture area and observe the landscape of the Misiones mountains. We will continue through the Pine forest, learning about one of the main products of the forestry industry in Misiones.

Estancia Las Mercedes covers an area of 700 hectares and is populated by livestock, yerba mate crops, pine and eucalyptus plantations, native forest, clear streams, and penetrating red earth roads, all steeped in a long and prosperous history. The property belongs to a family of English settlers who established their roots in 1926, arriving on the banks of the Paraná River and clearing paths in the virgin jungle. They offer visitors the tradition and hospitality that characterize them, inviting guests to share and experience a typical country stay alongside them.

Slowly, the landscape begins to change, and we have the opportunity to observe fruit trees, even picking some of the seasonal fruits. We enter the native forest reserve, and we start to feel the humid breeze that characterizes the Atlantic jungle.

We will observe flora and fauna and reach the crystal-clear waters of the Piray Guazu Stream. If weather conditions permit, we will have the opportunity to refresh ourselves in it.

We then return to the main house of the estate around 1 pm. The table is set with a delicious countryside lunch awaiting us.

After lunch around 3pm, we embark on a new horseback riding where we will pass through more picturesque paths of the estate. We can also relax by the pool until our return at 5:00 P.M.

Return to Puerto Iguazu, and arrive to your hotel around 6.30 – 7.00 pm
