Weather in Iguazu Falls

Iguazu Falls

Iguazu Falls are located in the continent of South America and, as previously mentioned, they are situated between two countries: Argentina and Brazil. Although Paraguay is in close proximity, it only shares the river that feeds Iguazu Falls, but it is located far from the falls and is not visible from there. It is worth noting that the falls form part of the Iguazu National Park, which is a protected area and a UNESCO World Heritage site. The park is home to a diverse range of animal and plant species, which create an important natural ecosystem that is connected to the rest of Latin America.

When planning a visit to this fascinating place, an important factor to consider is undoubtedly the climate. What is the weather like in Iguazu?

Is Iguazu Falls a rainy place?

Yes, Iguazu Falls is a rainy place. The falls are located in a subtropical rainforest climate zone, and the area receives a significant amount of rainfall throughout the year, with the wettest months being from November to March. The high humidity and frequent rain contribute to the lush vegetation and stunning natural beauty of the falls and surrounding areas. Now, is is a problem? The rainy season in Iguazu Falls is a natural occurrence, and it is not necessarily a problem. However, heavy rainfall can cause the water levels in the falls to rise and the currents to become stronger, which can affect some activities such as boat tours. Additionally, the rain can make some trails and paths more difficult to navigate, so it is important to be prepared with appropriate clothing and footwear if visiting during the rainy season. Overall, it is important to be aware of the weather conditions and plan accordingly when visiting Iguazu Falls.
