Unlike traditional waterfalls, Mocona Falls flows parallel to the river, creating a mesmerizing phenomenon known as a “sideways waterfall.” This extraordinary sight stretches over 3 kilometers and can reach heights of up to 10 meters. Itinerary
The visit to Moconá Falls is a full day tour.
We will depart at 7:00 a.m. from your hotel in Puerto Iguazú towards Moconá Provincial Park. This vast natural space, renowned for its stunning waterfalls, is the second most visited in Misiones after Iguazú National Park.
We will head straight to Moconá Falls. These cascades on the Uruguay River, which marks the border between Argentina and Brazil, plunge over a unique geological fault, creating a longitudinal cut on the river itself.
Undoubtedly, these 5 to 10-meter-high waterfalls will leave us in awe. They stretch over 3 kilometers through an astonishing natural area that is also part of the Yabotí Biosphere Reserve. Additionally, it’s a captivating region of the Paranaense jungle, spanning several areas of Argentina, Brazil, and Paraguay.
You can visit the Moconá Interpretation Center to delve deeper into the origin of its famous falls, and you’ll have approximately two hours free to have lunch at its restaurant.
In the afternoon, we will finally return to your hotel in Puerto Iguazú, arriving at 9 to 10:00 p.m.

Brilliant Iguazu Falls experience
"We had a superb day trip to the Argentinian side of Iguazu Falls. Absolutely stunning and worth the effort of going up. We did the train and boat trip, which was so much fun. Macarena was our guide and she was excellent - so knowledgeable and I learnt so much from her. With regards to organising the trip, Walter was brilliant - we had to move our trip forward by a day at the last minute due to flight changes and Walter re-scheduled our Iguazu Trip straight away. Can’t rate the whole experience more highly!
