Iguazu Falls is located on the Iguazu River, along the border between Argentina and Brazil. The waterfalls are protected by two neighboring national parks: Iguazú National Park in the Argentine province of Misiones and Iguaçu National Park in the Brazilian state of Paraná.
The two main gateway cities are Puerto Iguazu in Argentina and Foz do Iguaçu in Brazil. Although Paraguay is nearby, the waterfalls are not located within Paraguayan territory.
