If you have more days available in Iguazu and are unsure what else to do, this could be a great alternative if you are looking for an activity surrounded by nature.
In the Argentinian National Park, there is an alternative trail called Macuco, which cannot be completed on the same day as the main trails to the falls. That is why, if you have an extra day available, this wild and peaceful trail through the jungle should be on your list. The walk lasts around 3 hours, and the trail is open from 8 AM to 3 PM, so we recommend visiting in the morning.
The Brazilian side of Iguazu Falls offers incredible panoramic views of the entire waterfall system. You will begin by taking a bus from the entrance of the National Park. After arriving at the second stop, you will start the main circuit, which is approximately 1,500 metres long and ends at the final walkway overlooking Devil’s Throat. From there, you will be so close to the waterfall that you will feel the mist and may even get soaked.
The starting point of the Macuco Safari activity is located at the first bus stop. If you are adventurous and want to enjoy a unique experience, you can take this jeep ride through the jungle, followed by a boat ride that brings you close to the waterfalls.
