Your adventure begins with a scenic 50-minute drive to La Lorenza. Upon arrival, a guided interpretative forest walk introduces you to the lush vegetation and diverse bird species of the region.
Next, immerse yourself in the culture of Argentina with a hands-on yerba mate experience. Learn about the plant’s significance to the Guarani people, its history with the Jesuits, and its enduring importance in Argentine culture.
Afterward, enjoy a 20-minute walk through the forest to the riverbank, where your kayaks await. Paddle gently along the serene waters, taking in the stunning forest views from a unique perspective. Swimming in the river is an option for those who wish to cool off.
Following the kayaking experience, embark on another guided nature walk, exploring the rich biodiversity of the forest. This trek leads you to the main house, where a delicious lunch (AM) or early dinner (PM) awaits, accompanied by beverages and the warm hospitality of the owners of La Lorenza.
The excursion concludes with your return journey.
CANCELLATION POLICY
The following penalties apply for cancellations:
DATE CHANGE POLICY
Date changes for reservations are subject to availability and price updates.
PLAN B POLICY
In case of storms with electrical activity or heavy rainfall that jeopardize the safety of individuals, and in the event of environmental conditions that prevent navigation on the river:
At La Lorenza, we do not cancel excursions due to rain. We are located in an eco-region called the Atlantic Rainforest, meaning intermittent rainfall occurs frequently, providing the jungle with renewed vitality.
For excursions involving the river, we wait for the rain to pass or proceed with rain ponchos. However, if we receive an alert for electrical activity from the Coast Guard or if there is heavy rainfall that puts people’s lives at risk, we will suspend the river activity for safety reasons. The activity will be replaced by the “La Lorenza Jungle and Culture” excursion (mate experience) on solid ground as a Plan B.
Plan B is also applied in case of environmental phenomena (e.g., rising or lowering river levels) that prevent navigation on the river.
The minimum age is 6 years old.
Closed shoes, long pants, a bathing suit, a change of clothes, insect repellent, and a reusable water bottle.
Yes, the activity is mostly easy but includes a 150-meter slope that can be considered medium difficulty.
Yes, the tour is available all year.
The tour accommodates a maximum group size of 14 participants.
Cancellations made between 32 and 22 days before the service incur a 30% penalty; between 21 and 5 days, a 60% penalty; and within 5 days before the service, a 100% penalty.
If river navigation is unsafe due to weather conditions, the river activity will be replaced with the “La Lorenza Jungle and Culture” excursion on solid ground as a Plan B.
"the company worked with us to change flights a few times due to cancellations out of Ushaia. Also our guide was great and very helpful!
"Lucia at RipioTurismo did an excellent job arranging my three day Iguazu falls tour from Buenos Aires. Everything was included, except meals. All transport and tour arrangements were executed very well. It was very easy to communicate with the tour operator before and during my trip.
"We had a great tour guide - Lorena Cardenal. She was very calm, extremely knowledgeable about every little detail on Iguazú falls, flora and fauna. She and driver picked us up and dropped us at our hotel and border crossing was so easy with them. She let us spent as much time as we wanted and was cognizant of us taking rest whenever we needed. We saw both sides of Iguazu falls with her. Iguazu falls is so fantastic, no word can describe how beautiful it is and both sides have its own unique features, so see both sides as well as boat ride under water falls on Argentina side was awesome! She even made Matte for us to try, which she made and brought it for us next day. She was so gentle and caring about the park being kept clean. I highly recommend her as your private tour guide.
"Everything went very smoothly. No complaints at all! My guide Jorge was wonderful. I learned so much from him. Be prepared to walk a lot. Be sure to include the boat ride on the Argentina side. It is well worth it, but be prepared to get drenched! If you go to the Brazilian side, don’t think twice about taking the helicopter for -about $125 USD. It will give you a spectacular view even though it is a short ride. ( I didn’t have time to get to the Brazilian side to do it). I understand the hotels are wonderful, so if you go, do two days if you can. Passing all the information on to a travel agent I know to have anyone interested in going to Iguazu Falls to use this company! I flew at 6 am from Buena Aires to Iguazu Falls and flew back at 8:15! It is easily possible to do this Argentina side in a day.
"Jala, our guide as fantastic - fun, informative and attententive. The bus driver was great. All went well.
